This tyre is to fit a 19" rim, it will not fit a 20" rim. If you are unsure of the differences, please don't hesitate to contact us before ordering.
- From the 'Original Biketrial Brand' Monty, the Pro Race version of their Eagle Claw tyre!
- Designed and tested by some of the top riders in the world such as Abel Mustieles and Dani Comas!
- Thinner sidewalls and minimalist tread design help save weight by around 250g compared to the standard Eagle Claw tyre.
- Soft compound for ultimate grip - this means wear life is reduced compared with, say, a Creepy Crawler.
- Wider spaced tread pattern helps increase grip, especially in natural terrain where dirt and mud sheds from the tyre much easier than close-packed tread designs.
- Extra-wide 2.6" carcass (67mm at widest point) helps give great stability, aided by the slow rebound rubber compound used throughout the tyre.
- Neat design features like cut outs on the tops of the larger tread blocks and 'drilled' side tread help shave extra weight from the tyre.
- Finished with Pro Race V2 graphics.
- Weight: 787g (Please note: As with any tyre, weights can vary slightly from tyre to tyre)

Only had this on a couple of weeks but damn it is a good tyre! Plenty of grip on all surfaces so far, never slipped on me. Even when I've jumped off expecting it to give way, it has stuck! Nice and bouncy too, threw me up a ledge I'd been trying for a short while, whether the bounce, weight saved or placebo it worked and worked! Also looks the biz! Well recommended!

Hi Chris - I'm glad you like your new tyre, thanks for the feedback!
Unbeatable for weight and natural performance.

Brilliant tyre! I have rode everything from pallets to slippery wet rocks and the tyre performance has not skipped a beat! I run the front and rear version and Monty have obviously put a lot into the design. They give optimal grip for minimum weight and they really are light. A total weight loss of 1kg from my previous set up. Wear rate will probably be less when on street. Definately purchasing another set when mine wear out!

The good: i've only had a few rides with these tyres, but my initial impressions of the tyre are good. there is no noticeable wear to the tyre as of yet. so i'm optimistic that it's going to wear well. the sidewalls seem springier than the creepy crawler i was running before. and i've had no pinch flats (yet) i do run a soft pressure for my weight (over 14st) i've rimmed out on drop gaps and i run a modest inner tube. there have been a few situations where i expected a pinch to come. The bad: the tread wasn't as generous as it is on other tyres, i understand it's part of the weight saving, but when i opened the tyre on arival i was a little dissaponted. and a note on grip: i havent been let down by this tyre yet, but i never felt let down by my creepy crawler either. i usually stick to street riding so everything tends to be generously grippy... so if your a streety tgs fanboy you'll be pleased. natural fans i cant say how you'll find it.... i couldn't say i noticed any difference that the weight saving offered, especially now i'm used to the tyre, i'll probably buy another one when is bald though...

Does the job

I bought these tires recently to replace the original monty eagle claw tires i had on my manus. The weight difference between the two is very noticeable surprisingly. Swapping the tires took about 0.60lbs off my bike, so i was very happy with that. One downside to the tires is the lack of tread (but it is to be expected on lightweight tires). They do not work well in the wet or snow compared to the try-all sticky lites. But in the dry, the traction continues to surprise me. The tires stay tacky in the dry and grip very well on rock and wood. Mud is a totally different story, you have to be super careful on your moves given that the knobs on the tire aren't very thick. On the off camber rock and objects the tire seems to be stable enough to launch off without problems, although it has rolled off my rim one time. I would reccomend these tires for someone who is on a serious weight mission, or lives in a dry country.
