Headrock :/
Posted by Perry
Hey guys This may sound stupid but i just keep getting headrock, i tighten it up loads and the pinchbolts in the stem but whenever the front wheel lands it gets headrock. Any tricks or tips as to getting rid of it ? Cheers

Hi Perry - One thing to check would be to make sure that your top cap isn't bottoming out on your steerer tube. This can lead to the top cap bolt feeling like it's been fully tightened up whereas the headset could still actually be loose. It may also be worth double checking your front wheel bearings as well as your front brake - if the wheel bearings are a little loose or you have a front disc brake, this can sometimes give you a slight rocking feeling when you land moves to front wheel. These headsets are very reliable and simple to work on though, so it may be worth stripping it down to check everything is fine, then re-assembling it with plenty of grease and seeing if the problem goes away.

Awesome budget headset

Nice budget headset that does the job, at a really good price. Easy to install and maintain and the quality (upon first impressions, at least...) seems to be pretty good. Would recommend to anyone.

Hi Adam - This was one of our most popular headsets we sold for quite a while for the reasons you mentioned - as long as you keep on top of any maintenance it requires it should last you a long time. Thanks for the review!

When my headset kept coming loose and my forks were shaking I bought this one and I am very happy with it, it is pretty easy to install on your own. When fitted to the frame it looks amazing :) It runs so smooth aswell. I would recommend to anyone as this is a cheap and very very good headset:)

Hello - Although they're pretty cheap these headsets do seem to perform well. As long as you make sure they're greased and aren't ridden loose, they should last a good length of time. Thanks for the review!

Needed a cheap headset to get me by on my Fourplay build until I could save for a Hope or Echo. Don't think I will bother. This one seems fine! James
Decent for the money

I needed a new headset for my Onza comp 2010 frame and was a little low on cash so opted for this. My initial impressions were that it was very light! I installed it very easily, and the bearings seems very very smooth, even for an un sealed bearing system.
