DPD Direct Lite - A new economy, international service!

 

The eagle eyed amongst you will have spotted we are now once again offering DPD delivery services for domestic orders. We've also launched a new service from DPD for selected international regions called 'Direct Lite'. This new service offers excellent value for money, with live tracking and updates usually only available with more expensive services! To give you the highlights of this new service, we've answered the most common questions:

 

What is DPD Direct Lite for? - Direct Lite is intended for small, low value orders. The service is ideal for replacement parts and accessories that you don't need in a hurry, and offers big savings over equivalent FedEx services. If your order is small, but high value, we recommend using a tracked, insured, FedEx service.

 

Is DPD Direct Lite available for my country? - Direct Lite is available for selected regions only. Just add your chosen items to the basket, and select the options from the delivery drop down menu. If DPD Direct Lite is visible as an option, you can use it for your order!

 

How long does delivery take with DPD Direct Lite? - DPD quotes delivery times of approximately 5-10 working days, which will depend on the region in which you are based.

 

Do I have to pay import fees with this service? - Yes, you will be liable for all import fees and taxes, which is the same for all our delivery services. For more information on this, please check our delivery information section on our Terms and Conditions page. Just like FedEx, DPD manage all the import customs paperwork on your behalf.

 

Why should I choose this service instead of Royal Mail? - DPD Direct Lite offers in depth parcel tracking and order management. Just like FedEx, you'll be sent notifications to tell you your parcel has been sent, and when it's out for delivery with an approximate time window. You'll also be sent information on what to do if your delivery cannot be received, with options to arrange re-delivery, or change the delivery address. All of this helps you better manage the delivery of your order, ensuring you know where it is in the delivery network, and when to expect it!

 

What if my parcel is damaged or lost? - DPD Direct Lite offer a maximum compensation value of £100 (terms and conditions apply). If you have a problem with an order, please get in touch with us first and we'll be happy to help.
