Fitting Instructions
- Clean the rim bed with isopropyl alcohol.
- Ensure the rim tape is the correct width for the rim before applying. It should be wide enough to completely cover the rim bed, with the tyre sitting at the edges of the tape. Fitting a tape too wide may impede correct tyre fitting. A rim tape that is too narrow may not seal the rim correctly with the tyre fitted.
- Start wrapping the tape towards the valve hole, starting approximately 2 inches (50mm) away from it.
- Pull the tape taut as you wrap, and keep it under a constant tension. It helps to keep one thumb on the tape you've just applied as you work your way around the rim circumference.
- Make sure the tape remains centre in the rim well, and continue to wrap until the tape is exhausted.
- We recommend using a small 2mm hex tool to 'pop' a hole in the rim tape, and through the valve hole. This will expand when the valve is fitted and provide a good seal.
- Insert your tubeless valve of choice, and your rim is ready for the tyre to be fitted!
