- To figure out which cup you need, first check the insertion diameter of your frame where the headset cup goes in, and then the steerer tube diameter at that point. If you have a 44mm internal diameter head tube and a 28.6mm external diameter fork steerer tube, then you need the ZS44/28.6. This system follows throughout all of Hope's headset cups - simple!
- 2014 T6 aluminium cups are machined here in the UK at Hope's factory in Barnoldswick.
- Supplied with stainless steel bearings which are more resistant to corrosion than regular ones, and are available separately should you need to replace them.
- Lower cups supplied with split crown race.
- Top cups supplied with split wedge, preload spacers and top cover.
NOT supplied with the Hope Head Doctor Kit.
- Weights - HSC1: 48.1g. HSC2: 43.6g. HSCA: 42.7g. HSCE: 53.4g. HSCF: 65.0g. HSCH: 62.2g.
Top Cups:
HSC1 - EC34/28.6: Standard 1 1/8" Top Cup - suitable for use for all frames that require a standard 1 1/8" top cup.
HSC2 - ZS44/28.6: Internal 1 1/8" Top Cup - suitable for use for all frames that require an internal 44mm diameter top cup, for use with 1 1/8" forks.
HSC8 - IS42/28.6: Integrated 1 1/8" Top Cup - suitable for use for all frames that require an
integrated 42mm diameter bearing, for use with 1 1/8" forks.
Bottom Cups:
HSCA - EC34/30: Standard 1 1/8" Bottom Cup - suitable for use for all frames that require a standard 1 1/8" bottom cup.
HSCB - ZS44/30: Internal 1 1/8" Bottom Cup - suitable for use for all frames that require an internal 1 1/8" bottom cup.
HSCE - ZS56/40: Internal 1.5" Bottom Cup - suitable for use for all frames that require an internal 56mm diameter 1.5" bottom cup.
HSCF - EC49/40: Standard 1.5" Bottom Cup - suitable for use for all frames that require a standard 1.5" bottom cup.
HSCH - EC44/40: Standard 1.5" Bottom Cup for Internal Frame - suitable for use for using a tapered fork on a frame that typically require a 44mm diameter internal bottom cup (such as the 2016 onwards Inspired Fourplay framekit, or when fitting tapered forks to a frame like the Jitsie Varial).
