Important, please read! - These frames are 'new old stock' from the Echo factory. They have not been built into complete bikes, but have been stored for a number of years. Each frame has minor cosmetic markings to the finish.
The product photos show the worst of these marks, the frame you receive will be no worse than this.
Each frame has been fitted with a Trialtech Spanish, ISIS BB, with sealed cartridge BB bearings. This BB is a slightly different dimension to the original Echo Spanish BB, so an internal spacer has been added for the correct fit, and to optimise the chain line position of the freewheel. Included with each frame is a spare BB spacer (in case you need to adjust the position of one of the cranks), Trialtech BB spacers, and steel 15mm crank bolts. We recommend using the supplied spacer behind the left-hand crank, if needed. This will position the crank around 2mm further away from the chain stay, but this won't be noticeable when riding.
Frames are available with, or without, a laser etched 'Echo' logo on the down tube. All frames are identical in geometry, but the 'non logo' frames use a slightly different design of rear drop out, which still uses the integrated chain tensioner system.
The condition of these frames has been factored into the retail price. No two frames are exactly a like in cosmetic condition. We have checked each frame for correct alignment, and tolerances. We have fitted each BB to each frame to ensure the correct fit and spacing for that frame. The standard Tarty Bikes 6-month warranty applies (more info in 'Additional Information' below).
- Based upon the long-standing Echo Pure frames, the Echo Pure 2014 features some improvements to previous models.
- Each frame is supplied with a Trialtech Spanish, ISIS BB with spacers, and sealed cartridge bearings.
- Neat, CNC machined horizontal dropouts spaced at 135mm feature a low-profile integrated tensioner design, as seen on the previous Czar 24" frame.
- Large, CNC machined BB yoke increases weld contact area at this crucial join, increasing the strength and stiffness of the frame.
- Dedicated 4-bolt mounts spaced at 100mm.
- Standard head tube (104mm long) has a large hole machined out to reduce weight.
- Top and down tube gussets at the head tube direct stress away from the ends of the tubes, improving frame life.
- Available in Anodised Silver finish with laser etched Echo graphics OR Anodised Silver finish without laser etched Echo graphics.
- Recommended for 18:15 gear ratio and front freewheel only.
- Weight: 1.9kg (As pictured, including BB, spacers, crank bolts and cable clips).
