The RD (Read Design) range of parts was born from a desire to bring popular, and useful products back to the sport of trials. Designed to be economical, durable and easy to fit, all the RD parts are great problem solvers that look stylish, don't break the bank, and are made in the UK too! Created by Tarty Bikes founder, Adam Read, each RD part has been designed for a wide range of compatibility, with decades of trials knowledge applied to the design of each component. Parts intended for high stress use have been FEA stress tested, and physically tested by us on our own bikes, to ensure they offer performance and durability.

- A strong, and industrial looking bash ring with in a classic 4 bolt design.
- Laser cut from durable SAE 304 stainless steel, right here in Bamber Bridge, UK!
- 94 BCD (bolt circle diameter) fits a wide range of 4 bolt cranks, including the
Trialtech Race Square Taper Crank set and
Inspired Flow Plus Crank Set.
- Inner bolt 'tabs' are spaced adjacently at 89.5mm, making this bash ring compatible with a wide range of crank spider arm designs.
- 304 stainless steel has a higher density compared to mild steel and aluminium of equivalent thickness, this means it resists deforming under load, increasing the life span of the part. This 4mm thick bash ring has a similar strength and stiffness to a 12mm thick alloy bash ring of the same design!
- Stainless steel construction is easy to tidy up with a file and sandpaper! If you make a mess of your bash ring, you can bring it virtually back to new again.
- All RD products are collected direct from the manufacturer by Ben on his trusty single speed bicycle! Better for the environment, and Ben's fitness.
- Raw stainless steel material, and discolouration from the laser cut process gives a cool, industrial looking finish!
- Brushed finish looks great with modern, matt and shot peened finish cranks.
- A 124mm outer diameter works great with a range of chain ring sizes.
- Want to save some weight, but still want full chain ring protection? You can cut out the back portion of this bash ring, leaving two separate pieces to protect your chain ring which ever orientation you run your cranks, and save a few grams! If you decide to do this, we recommend leaving a minimum of 10mm of material from the bolthole where you make the cut.
