Please check the disc mount position on your frame or fork before ordering this item! Many trials frames and forks have their mounts in a 'plus' position as standard, meaning you may require a different adaptor than initially expected.

- The ideal way to get more power out of your front disc brake... a bigger rotor!
- A 'Plus 20' adaptor allows you to go from a 160mm rotor to a 180mm one, and the 'Plus 40' to a 200mm rotor (for example - simply add 20mm or 40mm to your current rotor size).
- Not compatible with 183mm and 203mm rotors.
- Fits almost all modern 51mm-spaced disc brake calipers, please enquire if unsure.
- Anodised silver finish to match the latest Hope brake calipers.
- Comes complete with mounting hardware.
- Weight (without bolts) - Plus 20: 32g. Plus 40: 23g.

Additional Information

Please note that the +40 adaptor has slight clearance issues on most trials forks with a long 'arm' where the caliper mounts (such as the latest Echo/ZOO/GU, Inspired and Trialtech forks). This can be remedied with a little filing, please contact us if you would like further details.
May require a small amount of filing around the lower mounting point when used with Echo TR Disc brakes to allow correct setup.

Perfect adapters

Ordered the 40mm ones to go from a 160mm rotor to a 200mm one. Exceptional quality from Hope, although I had to file them a bit to fit the Echo TR brakes I have (not much). Top notch service from Tartyboys as per usual. Great all around.

Hi Roland - Thanks for the review. We have found that with some calipers the Hope adaptors require a little 'tweaking' with a file, but as you found generally not much, and certainly not enough that would be detrimental to the performance of the adaptor.

Fixed my braking issue

I have a 2012 echo street trials, it's great except it comes with 160mm rotors in the rear, which imo isn't powerful enough for trials. Braking was bad, I couldn't get them to lock up without wrenching on the lever and after 5 mins my hands were killed. I tried everything, switched the pads to Hope, water, sandpaper, brake-in tutorials etc. Finally I asked the these guys, they said to get Hope Mono trials rotors in 180mm and the +20mm adapter... Well it worked like a charm!!! I noticed that the Inspired bikes come with 180mm on the rear as well, so seems like the right size. Btw: Same issue as other reviewer about fitting echo calipers on this - the back hole gets offset by the housing of caliper by about 1mm. I have access to a milling machine, so I made it bigger =) File/grinder/dremel should work too though.

mounting with Echo brake

i used this 20mm Hope Adaptor to mount 180 Rear Echo Disc Brake on my Adamant 24" urban, and had to file off about 1,5mm on the lower part of back connection of the caliper, otherwise it cannot be mounted. it's been a five minute extra work which don't compromise brake effectiveness.

Hi Andrea - It seems due to the shape of the Echo caliper you may need to 'adjust' the shape of the adaptor slightly, unfortunately. I'm glad it's worked out for you though! Thanks for the review.
