Great Rotors
Posted by Chakers1998
Running these with Trial Zones and they are fantastic. Initially went from 180 to 200 as my brakes weren't working as well as I'd like. Rebuilt the brakes and now I've gone back to 180 as the 200's are not really necessary, plus there is more chance of hitting one. These rotors are absolutely savage with Jitsie pads.

Thanks for the great review! The Trial Zone Rotors work exceptionally well with the Jitsie Trials pads. They're a perfect match for the Trial calipers that use a brake pad with a bigger surface. Combining the two certainly gives buckets of power!
Very good

I upgraded to 200mm from 180mm and went from the old rotor style to the new one at the same time so i'm not sure what was playing a bigger part. Either way there is noticeable power over my old set up after bedding in the brakes. Still great modulation though alongside the power which is great. However, i had a couple of problems. Firstly these are quite expensive, which to be fair you can expect from a new product, hopefully the price will drop down at some point. Secondly, when i fist put on the rotors, i got a bit of rub on the caliper . I contacted tartybikes and they reassured me that there was no problem, just the rotor wads sightly bent. They sent a video about straightening the rotor and gave a few tips, and i got the problem sorted. Cheers guys! The only other thing is personally, i think the old rotor looked a lot better, this one is still pretty cool though.

Hi Archie - Thanks for the detailed review. I'm glad you like your new rotor! The V2 does look different to the V1, but that's for functional reasons. The V1 rotor had longer arms which introduced more flex into the rotor, whereas the shorter, straighter arms for the V2 improve brake performance. Hopefully that makes sense. Thanks again for the review, it's good to hear your brake is working better now.
Nice Stiff Rotor

I purchased this rotor in the 180mm size along with new Jitsie Hope pads for my 24" bike. After a few minutes of dragging the brake, the pads and rotor were bedded in and working GREAT! This rotor is a bit more stiff than my stock 160mm Hope Mono rotor, with better bite and hold. Give this rotor a try and load up some new Jitsie pads at the same time. You won't regret it! Thanks Tartybikes!

Hi Seth - Thanks for the feedback on your new rotor. It's good to get some more insight about the V2 rotors out in the wild!
